A cement board is a combination of cement and fiber and various size sheets that are typically used as a tile backing board. Cement boards can be nailed or screwed to wood or galvanized stud to create a substrate for vertical tile and attached horizontally to plywood for tile floors, kitchen counters, and partitions. It can be used on the exterior of buildings, and containers. It can also be installed at soffits/Eaves of a building and for a Ceiling that is prone to rain and heavy moisture. Cement board adds impact resistance and strength to the wall surface.
